You're free to do anything you want you can capture villages and mining facilities for extra profit, train militias or you can go straight after Diadranna. You are then dropped into the north of Arulco, and the game basically says: "Go nuts". You begin the game with a sum of money, which you can use to hire a team of mercenaries. A man hires you to assassinate Queen Diadranna, a tyrant in the fictional African country of Arulco. There are mercenaries that are very strong, others are great marksmen or talented lock pickers, etc. You can choose from a large number of mercenaries who have different stats and talents. You have to hire these mercenaries yourself. It basically goes like this: you are the commander of a group of mercenaries. And that's coming from someone who isn't a fan of turn-based gameplay. I've never played it until then but I heard good things about it so I thought I'd try it out. I noticed that Jagged Alliance 2 is on sale again at GoG.com (€5, this weekend only) so I thought I'd make a thread about this.
